Our volunteers are the most important part of our fire company. It takes many people with varied talents to keep things running smoothly. Our firefighters are well-trained and selflessly put in many hours training, learning new skills, and updating skills. They're called upon in the middle of the night and/or in inclement weather for every medical emergency, traffic accident or fire that occurs in our service area as well as adjacent areas. During particularly bad fire conditions (hot, dry, windy), as other crews are stretched thin, they're called upon to man our firehouse sometimes 24/7 to be ready for any emergency. Just as important are the "behind the scenes" people, who offer to cut the grass, do repairs on the building, or participate in auxiliary meetings. These also include people who support our fund-raisers, attend the monthly dinners, drop off canned goods for the firefighters, etc. Everyone has a talent and it takes many talents from many people to make it all work. No matter how big or how small any contribution is - all the jobs are equally important in protecting our homes and community. Our Chief and the Board welcomes anyone who wants to participate as a volunteer. Whether it's doing the dishes or planning a fund-raiser, all assistance is greatly appreciated. To offer your services or discuss how you can help please contact Chief, Linda Barneby at 472-1518 or Auxiliary President, Frank Rose at 472-3245.
